The UK GDPR has a requirement that when a controller collects personal information either directly from data subjects, or via a third party, that we provide you with the following information.

  • the identity and the contact details of the controller 
  • the contact details of the data protection officer, where applicable;
  • Our reasons for collecting the information
  • The purpose(s) we are using it for
  • Our legal basis or bases for processing the information
  • How long the information is held for
  • Any third parties the information is shared with.
  • How you can exercise your rights
  • The Controller is Innovative Educational Partnerships Limited (IEPL)

  • The UK GDPR provides individuals with a series of rights; the right of access, the right to object, the right to rectification, the right to erasure etc. If you wish to exercise any of these rights, please email the Data Protection Officer at the above email address.
  • The personal information of successful candidates will be retained in line with our standard retention schedule. The personal information of unsuccessful applicants will be retained for 12 months. 
  • Our reasons for collecting the information, the purpose we are using it for, our legal bases for processing and the identifies of any third parties can be found in the below Privacy Notice.

  • Ethnicity
  • Relevant health or disability information.
  • Reviewing equality information in relation to potential applicants.
  • To ensure reasonable adjustments are made in relation to your application.
  • As above for Article 6 of the UK GDPR
  • Processing is necessary for reasons of substantial public interest: Article 9(2)(g) of the UK GDPR *

 

  • Information relating to criminal convictions
  • Preventing or detecting unlawful acts and protecting the public against dishonestly.
  • Safeguarding of children and of individuals at risk
  • Legitimate Interests: Article 6(1)(f) of the UK GDPR in all other cases
  • Article 10(1) of the UK GDPR **

 

* In using Article 9(2)(g) of the UK GDPR to process special categories of data the following substantial public interest conditions have been identified within the Data Protection Act 2018:

  • SCHEDULE 1 PART 2 (5) Statutory etc. and government purposes…specifically adherence to the Equalities Act and Health and Safety at Work Act.
  • SCHEDULE 1 PART 2 (8) Equality of opportunity or treatment.

 

** In using Article 10(1) of the UK GDPR to process data relating to criminal convictions and offences the following substantial public interest conditions have been identified within the Data Protection Act 2018:

  • SCHEDULE 1 PART 2 (10) Preventing or detecting unlawful acts
  • SCHEDULE 1 PART 2 (11) Protecting the public against dishonesty etc.
  • SCHEDULE 1 PART 2 (18) Safeguarding of children and of individuals at risk.

Important Note

It is not possible to identify every type of processing and/or every third party we may need to share personal data with and it is possible that occasionally your data will be processed in a manner not covered by this Privacy Notice. When this happens no processing will occur unless it complies with UK Data Protection legislation.
