Results day support

Whether you are an undergraduate, postgraduate or apprentice, you might feel apprehensive about receiving your end of year results.

Here are some hints and tips to help guide you through the pre-release period, no matter what your academic outcomes might be.

On results release day

Results are released on a staggered basis; it is important to check your faculty communications for the correct day and time of your course's release. Your faculty will make your results available on the My Results tile on  and provide results guidance information. Please make sure you read this information carefully, and if you have any queries contact your Programme Team in the first instance. Alternatively, contact your Student Advice Centre.

Practise self-care

It is important to look after yourself during this busy time. Make plans with friends, get a good night’s sleep and do some physical activity. These are all important ways of looking after our wellbeing and can have a really positive effect on our outlook and how we feel.

Speak to our Careers Team

If you're worried your results may have an impact on your career plan or intended next steps, please don’t panic.

There are lots of resources that can support you on the 

1:1 appointments with the Careers Team are available for all our students, and can offer you support on an individual basis. The team can help and support you by:

  • Exploring your career options
  • Making a career plan based on your current situation
  • Discussing how you can continue to achieve

Wellbeing Services

If you are a current student and concerned about your mental wellbeing you can speak to our wellbeing team by booking a Single Point of Access appointment. In these 45 minute appointments you will be offered advice and given an action plan of what to do next. To book an appointment, either face to face or virtually, go to .

If you are registered with another GP please contact them instead. In an emergency you can call 999 or go to A&E at the Leicester Royal Infirmary.
