Institute of Health and Health Policy postgraduate research and PhD students
We have a vibrant research culture that promotes and supports excellence in masters and doctoral supervision. In addition we have an extensive doctoral training programme which provides training opportunities ensure that students receive a high quality and satisfying experience at 51ºÚÁÏÉçÇø. The curriculum includes a programme of research methods to develop skills and conceptual understanding as a researcher, including advanced training workshops on specialist topics. Students will be integrated into the academic life of the university, which will include membership of the Institute of Health, Health Policy and Social Care Research.
Our doctoral students’ research areas are eclectic and include: dementia, occupational therapy, nurse education, professional nursing practice in mental health and physical health across the globe, compassion, natural justice, workforce issues such as health care assistants, the nurse associate role, environments of care such as accident and emergency, primary and secondary care, disease specific studies, LGBT studies, asylum seekers and refugees, sexuality, activism, and gerontology.
