On September 23 and 24, all the teachers of USTB-51ºÚÁÏÉçÇø Confucius Institute (CI) arranged two stands full of Chinese cultural elements to welcome freshers during the university's Welcome Event, introducing Chinese courses to freshmen from all over the world and allowing them to experience the charm of traditional Chinese culture. This initiative also attracted many students to inquire about the Mandarin courses.
Calligraphy practice, shuttlecock, Chinese comedy, and chopstick-bead games attracted many freshers and their parents. The stands were bustling with inquirers who had warm exchanges and interactions with the teachers of the Confucius Institute. They also participated in various activities that showcased the unique charm of Chinese culture and left with unforgettable memories.
The intriguing game of Gobang, in particular, drew many students to come forward and challenge. At the site, challengers engaged in fierce matches with CI teachers, displaying full sincerity and respect for cultural communication. These friendly matches not only deepened the friendships but also allowed everyone to experience the wisdom and allure of traditional Chinese culture.
The CI teachers dressed in traditional Chinese costumes also left a deep impression on everyone. It not only allowed students to experience the beauty of traditional Chinese clothing but also conveyed the love of all CI teachers for Chinese culture. The enthusiasm of the teachers, coupled with the charm of Chinese culture, made the entire Welcome Event even more memorable and meaningful.
