Personal profile

Dr. Samuel Owusu-Agyei is a Senior Lecturer in Accounting and Finance within the Leicester Castle Business School at 51ºÚÁÏÉçÇø.

Samuel holds a PhD from Leeds Business School, MSc from the Edinburgh Business School and a Bsc from the University of Ghana, Legon.  Prior to joining 51ºÚÁÏÉçÇø, Samuel was a Lecturer in Mathematics at the Leeds Beckett University. He also worked as a Financial Accountant at Kintampo Health Research Centre and as an Electronic Banking Advisor at Barclays Bank Ghana for a number of years.

Samuel’s teaching and research transverse Accounting and entrepreneurship and he teaches on modules including Advanced Financial Reporting and International Developments in Accounting at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Samuel is actively involved in departmental processes and is currently part of the Ethical Review Pool within the Accounting and Finance department.

Samuel is also a reviewer for a number of internationally recognised journals. He has continuing research interests in Accounting and Entrepreneurship, having published in internationally recognised journals such as International Review of Financial Analysis, International Journal of Accounting, and Information Management and Business Strategy and the Environment.
